Let's Make a Data Feed.

Step 1: Open an Excel or a Google Sheets document.

Decide which products you want to include in this Data Feed. This could be all your products, or you may want to create different Data Feeds for different sections of your catalog.

In Spaceboost's Free plan, you can include up to 500 items in your Data Feed, which you can connect to 1 advertiser account. If you want to connect more accounts or include more items, that’s fine! You’ll still have a 30-day free trial to test out all the benefits Spaceboost can bring you.

There is also no limit to how many campaigns you can create with a feed.

Step 2: Create rows for all the items you want to include.

Step 3: Create columns for all the tags you want to include.

For a list of common tags and some tips about what to include for each vertical, consult our guide: Data Feed Definitions.

When you have decided which information to include in your Data Feed, add headers to each column to specify the tags you will use.

Step 4: Fill in all the information about the products, by tag.

It doesn’t matter if you have information for some items and not for others. You can simply leave the field blank. Do this by simply typing "" into the field.

The necessary minimum information to include in a Data Feed is: Item ID, Item Name, and URL. We recommend including more information than that, but without this information you will not be able to use a Data Feed to create ads!

NB: Text fields need to be delimited with “”, decimal numbers must be separated by POINT and not by COMMA, the limit in the ID field is 255 characters, tag headers in the feed can not contain spaces, or underscores “_”, and no special characters allowed.

Step 5: Decide whether you want a Static or a Dynamic Feed.

If you want to use a Static Feed, save your CSV as a file on your computer and then upload it to Spaceboost following the instructions here.

If you want to use a Dynamic Feed from a Google Sheets or Excel, once you are happy with your feed you need to publish it to a URL which will be automatically created. Do this by going to File, Publish to the Web, select 'CSV delimited', select the sheet you want to publish, hit Publish, copy the resulting URL...

...and, you're ready! copy and paste this URL into Spaceboost following the instructions below, set how often you'd like your Feed to be automatically updated, and you'll be ready to create killer ad campaigns¡ in a matter of minutes.

Here's how to Upload your Data Feed.
